Layla

Problem - she has social phobia
Change - confronts and overcomes phobia.

social phobia - 'Social anxiety disorder (social phobia) is a persistent fear about social situations and being around people....social anxiety disorder causes intense, overwhelming fear over what may just be an everyday activity like shopping or speaking on the phone. It's generally more common in women than men...' - therefore it will be a woman

This gives a reason for her to run off with fear from the people watching her from the car. This also means she will have problems talking to the vicar whom she will be meeting in the 'safeplace' (church).
Idea - she may not even speak to anyone in the script. Audience just sees her looking around (character POV) it brings the audience is in the story. Also the audience could judge her by her reactions and expressions.

Dark figures (police)
These 'dark figures' would be the police sitting in the car waiting. They can see the girl so, they walk over to her to check if she is ok and to find out why she is standing by herself in the dark.  They end up chasing the girl as she runs off towards the blocked off roads, interfereing with their plans to arrest the vicar.

Vicar

Kind and religous man. Very patient.

Problem - running away  from an incident in the past before he became a vicar.
Change - face up to consequences.

Location
Bexley Village - idea came from where I grew up. Story will be based in a small village where they meet in a church.

Bexley village has 2 churches
1. st mary church - http://www.stmarysbexley.co.uk

2. St johns the evangelist church - http://www.stjohnsbexley.org

When shooting, I have selected for my characters to be filmed at St Johns the Evangelist Church. This is because at St. Mary the Virgins Church the roads are too narrow and therefore would be too dangerous for the cast and crew to film. I have also chosen St Johns because the tower is quite high, where the character would look up and be able to see it over the buildings.'Many people are familiar with St John's from the outside as a landmark in Bexley.
