In the middle of production we were filming at an actual care home. This meant with real residents, visitors and nurses.
Our environment had changed and we had to be weary of where we were and be respectful of the residents living there. The first couple of days, the set was upstairs in a room. The set was so small most of the crew remained downstairs. Nieves had to take over because the 3rd AD was ill. I had to take over Nieves role, remembering what I needed to do.
I remained downstairs and going up regularly to check if Nieves was ok.
We had elderly patients who were playing extras in the film. I was in charge of making sure they were happy. I was given the responsibility of handing out release forms and getting them signed off. In return they get paid cash for their work. The production team trusted me to hand look after the money and pay the extras. I felt, in order for them to be paid, they must give me back their release forms to get their money. This is so no one can come back and say I haven't paid them which could lead to paying out double.

There were problems where the original drivers assigned to the actors were unable to drive them out for lunch, so they assigned me to drive 'Brian Cox'. When it came to driving him out for lunch, I drove him to his preferred pub. When we drove, he asked me what my name was. I introduced myself and had a friendly chat on the way. As I left him, I had to do other driving duties which was driving crew back and forth to lunch and driving lunch to base for AD's who were looking after Actors. I managed to slip myself 10 mins to eat before picking people up an driving them back to set. By the end of the day, I managed to drive all the actors including Emilia Fox to and from the set.
