Canterbury Cathedral

Our group had been invited to Canterbury Cathedral to practise shooting live and editing a short documentary. There were two places that we had to shoot live and the rest of the shots were cut-aways that helped visually create the story.
Issues we has were to gather footage live. If we were not ready to capture the footage we could miss the event happening at that time.

A day in the life of Sei-Kai

We had to create another short film, to experiment and document following a person for the day. Our group chose to follow me. We spent a lot of the time in the car, but managed to shoot a lot of footage in the coffee shop 'Starbucks'. So we decided that we should edit a short film about me and my routine at Starbucks, especially because I genuinely spend most of my time in the coffee shop.

Breakfast at Starbucks

When we shot my usual routine when I make my coffee, I noticed that due to not shooting each part in different angles. When edited the clips together it created jump cutting like Jean Luc Goddard style.
