Directions Research

In my script there is a Girl called Kyle who is the main character and her best friend whom she meets for her birthday called Sarah.

In the script the main location where Kyle wakes up from will be in her apartment. I have researched and found a hotel room that suits her style.

The Hotel is Dolphin House in London.

Birthday Party Scene

Kyles friends at her party will be wearing glamorous evening dresses for women and suits for men.

The guys

This is a scene of the guys from 'Made in Chelsea' a popular TV series that portrays rich people living in Chelsea, London.

As you can see from this scene these characters are having a night in with the guys. They are all wearing suits, all wearing ties. There is wine on the table suggesting fine drinking and poker chips on the table that further suggests that they are definitely having a poker night with the guys.

For the women

As you can see from this image, the women are wearing long evening dresses, nothing that has their cleavage on show. The look is sleek, stylish and sophisticated.

Colour Theme

The theme will be purple, white and gold. Simply because she is quite feminine and likes the colour purple. The white and gold are bright 'rich' colours.

  

There will be crystals on the table to 'glitz' up the party and make the scene glamorous.

Food and Drink

The party from 'Made in Chelsea' gives us an insight to how the rich lifestyle hold their parties.

As we can see from the two images on the table behind, the food on the right are canapes and on the left of the table are cocktail/champagne glasses then there is a centre piece.

In my film I have already researched on catering for canapes. I have decided it would be much easier to by a set of canapes from the bigger supermarkets as they have a range.

Actor/Actress placement

I have researched and found that rich people who have parties do not really have loud club music where women are dancing as if they are in a club, they like to socialise at a party. The way they conduct themselves at a party is in a civilised manner where they socialise and catch up with people with a glass of fine wine/champagne or cocktail in their hands.

This is an example of a american TV series called 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' where one of the housewives are holding a party. We can see them standing and being talkative, greeting each other.

I chose this example because we all know that if you can afford to live in Beverly Hills, you are rich.
