Researching a range of fables, I have selected a few that I felt would be interesting visually on screen and to adapt. I have also selected them because I felt connected to the story. These are stories that I had found from Chinese fables.

Giving seedlings a hand

Things develop in their own way. It is not sufficient for people to do things just with desire and enthusiasm. Maybe the effect can even be contrary to what they wish.

Neither bird nor beast

Some people who have no clear cut position and often change their attitude according to their needs.

The Fox adorns himself with burrowed plumes from the Tiger
One who relies on another strength to bully others.

Birds startled by the mere Twang of a bowstring

If one was frightened in the past, he or she might be scared again in the future in a similar situation.

A loss may turn out to be a gain

A loss can in fact turn out to be a gain, equally, a good thing may turn out to be a bad thing.

Waiting by a tree for a hare to turn up

How can one achieve success without hard work?

Money or Life

People who would rather give up their life than to lose their money.

A Snipe and a Clam locked in Battle

It's always the third party that benefits from a tussle between two parties.

The Snail

People should pursue their dreams according to their own circumstances and strength, and not be like the snail.
