First Edit with Sound

This first edit is more of a TV type trailer where the mis-en-scene has nothing to do with the story but has the element of the theme of the story in it. Inspired by watching the Eastender trailer.

The reason why I had edited a second trailer was because I wanted to focus and emphasise of the characters fear and phobia. TV trailers can focus on storylines, characters, locations etc... unlike films trailers mainly focus on the storyline that leads to a climax. This is also the reason why I wanted to get the feeling that we as an audience are looking inside the characters head and feeling what she is feeling.

Editing

Whilst editing the trailer I noticed that the lighting of the footage were different for each day, therefore could not use linear storytelling. So, in order to tell the story without the audience recognising the difference in lighting, I had to start from a mid point then somehow cut back to an earlier scene. I then used colour correction to match the colours on the footage.
I could also see that some of the footage were grainy. The cameraman must've switched on the gain to let more light in. From this I learnt to prepare some extra portable lighting to prevent the cameraman from switching on the gain.

29th Dec
I have created a second trailer which incorporates the beginning scene of the film. This has more dialogue and sound effects added into the scene.
This edit is more of a film type trailer where the audience follows a story that leads to a climax.
