I have found that to script an experimental film has no script structure unlike film scripts. I have looked up a few famous experimental artists and there scripts to analyse.

Un Chein Andalou (1928) by Luis Buñel and Salvador Dalí

At Land (1944) by Maya Deren

All these scripts are written in descriptive actions and suggestive camera shots and editing styles as if it were a shooting script. This may help me with writing up my script. There are little suggestions on how the visuals will be edited together, which could be included in my script.

  1. hi sei-kai - very interesting to see and read these experimental "scripts" . Its' clear that this can be an acceptable way of writing out your story - but just make sure any collaborators (cast, etc) are going to be ok with it and be able to understand your vision - when they might be more use to a traditional script form.
