Crew
Producer - Sei-Kai Leung

I will be producing the production and have asked Hannah to work with me with directing the project.
I have produced a few short films and one of which I had handled 50 people on set with 5 crew members. It was also a student project at college for the music video 'If we meet again' by Steelo1. With knowledge and experience, I can see I am capable of producing.
I am always learning on productions as a runner which gives me the opportunity to see how a professional production works.
Director - Hannah Darby

Costume Design
Upon finding Costume designer, I don't know of any because I had worked on a productions where is was not heavily influenced by costume design. With 'My Best Friends Wedding' they had a key stylist - Sean Kunjambu. This because some of the selling point was the clothes the actress was wearing and the shoes and bags were all donated by Christian Louboutin, which does not fit our genre.
Christian Louboutin Bags and Shoes I had to check and write up a shipping carnet for.
I remember assisting Sean with the clothes in preparation where we went to high street stores like TopShop, Karen Millen, FCUK etc... selecting clothes as suggestion for the characters and taking plenty of photos. There could have been security problems in regards to copyright if stopped and asked about taking so many photos of the clothes without intentionally buying but Sean had already pre-arranged permission by the people dealing with media in each store. The reason for looking at clothes in the high street is to promote the clothes in the film when the famous actress are wearing it, and it will be easily accessible for fans to buy them in store.
Our film is not like this, instead it is fantasy and some of the clothes need to be designed and fitted to the actors.
As Hannah has worked on a project for PQA she had a contact who creates costumes for the shows. She contacted Danielle and agreed to working with us. We arranged to meet at Danielle's home and discuss the stories and ideas once Hannah came up with the moodboard. The first arranged date for meeting nearly fell through as we tried to contact Danielle to check if she is still is up for the meeting. Already the communication with answering or hearing a reply is worrying. So, I am weary about whether to keep her on our team, but I will give her an opportunity. I will keep a very close eye on her. I have asked Danielle for her bio and she still hasn't sent it to me.
Make-Up Artist - Jutta Russell

On the Sony Production I was trying to expand my contacts and talk to everyone in each department learning what everyone does. At the end of the production I went to the make-up department because it was quiet and everyone was about to wrap. I met the make-up artist Jutta Russell in her trailer and ended up speaking to her about my Fables project and how I visioned it if I was the director and she fell in love with the make up design. She told me she wouldn't mind helping me with the make-up design because she felt like it would be very different to the usual make-up. She could send her own students to apply the make-up whilst she is happy to help with the design. So I took her up on the offer.
In September when we began the course, the brief states that I had to assign a student from the uni course to be the director as I can not use any of my own contacts even though as a producer I should be making use of my contacts. So I asked Hannah to help with Directing and script writing, which meant the style, story and ideas would change completely.
So I found Jutta's contact from the unit list and got in touch with her to see how she was, and update her about the style to see if she would still like to work on the project in which she replied to meeting up. We arranged to meet up with Hannah at her home in London bringing along with us the story ideas and make-up mood boards so she had a visual idea for make-up.
The meeting went well, Jutta had a look at our work and was honest. She said if she didn't believe in the project she would refuse to work with us as she doesn't want to waste her time or resources. I told her our budget and said it was such a small amount especially if we wanted great make-up, so she suggested a few basic things, such as sourcing some materials for ourselves suitable for the budget. For example, getting coloured contact lens which can completely change the look of the actors. Other things she suggested was to source people who are local to bring the costs of travel and accommodation down etc...
I can trust Jutta as she is a working professional, has experience in prosthetics in the horror/fantasy genre such as Thor: The Dark World and Harry Potter films.
Director of Photography
At the moment, we need a camera person to shoot the film but looking for someone who we can trust who has extensive knowledge in camerawork is proving difficult to decide, considering we have to use a student from the course. If I feel we can't decide on who is going to shoot our film I will have to take control of the camera on set, but I feel I would need to be free on set as a producer so I can deal with any problems arising without having to thin about shooting also.
Animator/Storyboard Artist - Vikki Kerslake
Upon finding a animator for our trailer I emailed Phil Gomm about the project to see if there were any student who would like to get involved. Vikki had heard about our project and had emailed me personally. I looked at her portfolio and thought her work suited our project. I got her to send me a sample of 5-10seconds of a animated clip of moths flying around a lantern. She got back to me quick with the completed clip.
I liked her quick response and eagerness with her work ethics and felt the style suited. I discussed Vikki to Hannah who loved her work, so I arranged to meet with her to discuss our project. In the meeting she arrived early, and took loads of notes down when we were telling her our story ideas. She is very good with communications and taking down and understanding information. She mentioned about drawing up a storyboard for the trailer for us so I assumed she can draw up storyboards. I then asked her if she would like to draw up storyboards for our films also, and she loved that she could help. The director and Vikki have set up a few meetings to meet each other to see the progress.
Colourist - Seamus Cogan

I have previously worked with Seamus Cogan before on projects which has been on official selection in film festivals. Seamus has his own equipment as a colour grader and currently upgrading his kit. He has his own company with extensive knowledge in colour editing.
Their statement:
'Sarcoline was founded by Séamus Cogan in 2010. We enhance the colours to drive the story through visual emotion. The manipulation of colours and lighting is more important to showcase the value of your product. Sarcoline strives to bring out the best in flesh.'
